152.420 is repeated, and they were using a tone of 94.8 a few weeks ago.

They also use
151.655 (CSQ) Ch-2, possibly for parking
154.515 (74.4) Parking
154.600 (74.4) Instructors
451.425 (100.0) Ski club, was using it to set up race courses

This may be a stupid question, but what are the numbers in the parenthesis used for?

Took a day off from taking days off, and went up to Crystal. After half a dozen run-ins with the ski patrol, a lot of wipeouts, and a yoinked knee, I figured an hour's worth of skiing wasn't worth the hassle, and retired to the lodge for seriously overpriced pizza and earphone scanning.

152.420 (225.7) Ski Patrol repeater- Can be heard as far down as Greenwater.
157.680 (225.7) Input to 152.420

159.765 (250.3) Simplex ops. Heard ticketing, security, kid's club, ticket checking, parking, shuttles and some admin.

159.975 (79.7) Simplex ops. Possibly engineering/plant services? Security was telling someone here that Qwest was onsite to work on the phones in employee housing.

451.450 (100.0) Simplex ops. Ski instruction.

451.850 (100.0) Simplex ops. Ski instruction.

Never heard anything on 160.020, another licensed freq.

Another thing. As the car was warming up, I was listening to what I thought was two troopers chatting on 156.135, the OSCCR freq. One said he was going to run radar on the road up to Crystal for awhile, and the other said he was sticking to 410. As I rolled down the mountain, I noticed a USFS Law Enforcement unit on a traffic stop (even got a crappy picture; below). At the bottom, there was another USFS unit waiting to nail people who didn't make full stops at the stop sign.

Great fun if you like hypothermia, joint pain, mudslides and SNOW.
