CS-R5 Installation for IC-R5

Hello,
I'm brandnew in this forum and want to say hello first.
Living near of Airport ZRH, I'm using the scanner ICOM IC-R5 several years,
to watch airtraffic with my collegues.

For better programming, I have boughted the CS-R5 programming software.

Now I want to change my config on IC_R5 and therefore I have to connect the scanner to my
Notebook (WinXP-SP2).

But there is no way, to install the correct driver for the USB connection.
Always the same error messages: Could not find the requested driver (eg.).

Does anybody know, which driver is the correct one? Or give me another information??

Welcome to RR! When I had an R5 (and now have an R6), I used a USB-Serial port adapter, plugged into the Icom OPC-478 Serial programming cable. It sounds like you are trying to use a USB variant of that? Is it an Icom offering or a third-party cable? Did it come with a CD with drivers on it? Can you download the drivers from the manufacturers' online page?
