Hello all,
Last week i received my R8600. I manually programmed 25 Program scans. Half of them are for the shortwave bands and the other half are for the HF amateur bands. I was a bit surprised to see that i could not configure a name for the program scans considering that you can on an IC-R30.
Today i received the CS-R8600 Programming/cloning software. I imported the receiver config into the software. I could see in the software that for the program scans the name column can be edited and i replaced 00A and 00B with "SWL 120 Meter" and i saved the config. I uploaded the file to the receiver. I turned the receiver off and on and i went to scan the first program scan. I was expecting to see the new name but i still see P0A P0B. It looks like the name is not getting imported into the receiver. Do any of you know if it's normal ?
I have also noted that in the software, the modes are different for the A and B edges. As an example, 01A is set to AM and 01B is set to FM, why is there an entry for each edge ?
Another thing, the antenna column indicates ANT1 but the receiver is set to use ANT3.
Any idea about what is causing this behavior ?
Thanks
