I was wondering if National Security (Canadian Security and Intelligence Services) has any conventional or analog freq or t/g in the province, especialy in the Toronto or Ottawa region?

Try a Google search, but nothing turned up.

Please advise. Thanks

If they even had a system it would be safe to say they are probably encrypted.
I've never seen any frequencies for them.

They are strictly cell, satcomm and local encrypted/SS low power simplex units.

CSIS does have a UHF frequency that is repeated in the TTC subway system here in Toronto. 421.9375. I've never heard voice on this, but I have heard the odd key-up now and then.

There were a bunch of CSIS frequencies listed in an old Haruteq book from years past, if anyone has one of those kicking around, take a flip through it.

Like Dave said, they're likely encrypted - I don't know I'd bet on it though. Last time Harper was in Toronto, all the RCMP comms were in the clear, so...

I have a feeling CSIS could in theory pick any frequency they wanted...

While looking over a friend's Scantrix -July 1998 edition, I did come across some CSIS freq's in the listings.

FWIW, here they are:

140.6400
140.9100
141.0900
141.4200 this is Britannia's contol channel on Fleetnet, so it's a throw away in the GTA
421.8875
421.9375
425.7375 also RCMP
425.8875
425.9375 also RCMP

not promising anything, but it won't hurt to try.:)
