I've heard radio traffic which indicates Pueblo County may have moved from CSP District 2A to 2D. Can anyone confirm this ? Thanks

Could the talkgroups be patched? The other day troops 6A and 6B were patched to 6D.

Doesn't look like anything has changed. The CSP website still lists Pueblo as being 2A. 2D is Trinidad and Walsenburg. Any chance that maybe some 2D cars were covering some calls in Pueblo County, or vice-versa?

After reading this, I made a point of monitoring the CSP TG's. I haven't heard any traffic on the 2A tg's (2B was busy as always) but did hear more than the usual amount of traffic on a 2D tg, but I missed the unit id's so I'm not sure if they were 2A units or not. Possibly some change there. Maybe a temporary move?

Welcome to the wonderful world of CSP TG patching.

There are some patterns of patching for the "Denver" dispatch center and this may be true for the "Pueblo" dispatch center as well. After a while this will become evident and initially you will need to keep all the district dispatch groups in your scanlists.

Fortunately the Pueblo dispatchers appear to not have those awful wireless headsets that the Denver dispatch center use where they can crank their mic up by a factor of 4. It sounds like crap even on Motorola radios.

I've heard patching before and this doesn't sound like it. All the locations given by CSP units during traffic stops in Pueblo County now have 2Dxx callsigns. They must have went through a reorganization.

Another CSP District 2 question? 2A seems to be Fremont,Park,Chaffee, and Custer counties. Until lately i had been able to monitor 2D on tg 2526, have they moved tg's or using a control channel that i don't have programmed in. I am unable to recieve cheyenne mt so that kinda limits my reception area. If anyone know i would apprecitate the info! Thanks

2D Talkgroups are still the same

Troop 2D Dispatch (tg 2526) and 2D TAC (tg 2527) are still the same. It's their troop boundries that seem to have changed. Their radios were brought into the radio shop for reprogramming, but my PRO-96 still receives them fine.

I've hear them on Trinidad, La Veta, Walsenberg, Colorado City, Pueblo, Fowler, Cheyenne Mtn, and Deer Peak towers.

As I understand it, if you're not in range of these towers you would only hear them when a radio with those tg's in it's scanlist, affiliates with one of the towers you can hear.

district 2 channel

Does anybody know what is considered CSP District 2 channel. During the Mason Gulch fire, Pueblo put all the cars involved in traffic control on 2D channel, and had all the remaining Pueblo area cars go to District 2 channel. I had originally thought that maybe it was the 2A channel but none of the other cars switched over to it, and i never heard them on any channels. Pueblo parks officers used there normal traffic on 2680 as a primary, and 2681 as none emergency traffic. It isnt a big deal, but it did make me curious.

I think they have a district wide channel. When we first got the 800 radios each district had a "district" channel. Then after a couple re-programings they seeemed to go away at least for our area, I think dist 2 kept theirs for Troopers travelling from Troop to Troop and spec events.

I've (rarely) heard CSP on tg 2703 and 2704, just calling Pueblo, no response. It's been a long time. I've wondered if one of those tg could be a district channel.

Thanks, i think that the 2703/2704 tg's is a definate possibility. I have heard mostly car to car traffic on them. I guess the need to use the district channel isnt often enough to find them for sure. Over last weekend i heard Troopers assisting with the MS-150 on 2405 which is listed as district one dispatch.
