They use that system and identify as Trooper 1 and 2

They have 3. 2 fly, Trooper 1 & 2, third one is a donor ship for T2 (military surplus). I don't believe they have a full crew on duty and are staffed by callback although there may be some daytime staffing for administrative functions.

Are there CSP Troopers (or personnel) licensed to pilot? Or do they use contracted pilots?

The article relates to fixed wing aircraft pilots, not rotary wing. But thanks for the article, it was an interesting read.

my experience has been, if they use Trooper-Pilots for Fixed Wing, they also use them for Rotary and Vice-Versa and if they Contract it is for both [YMMV tho]
