Hey all. I changed my mind and in a previous post said I was picking up the pro 96. Long of the short I picked up the 396t. Anyhow I was a little short of cash and did not pick up the programming software and want to program this by hand. I live in plainville so what troops do you guys recommend putting in? Also do I just use the red highlighted frequency or do I use all of them? I know I am a bit of a pain but I am really excited about this new project.

Thanks

Rob

How about reading the database files and looking at a map for starters.

Yea, with 11 posts. But hey, if you feel better slamming him, go for it.

Anyway, I would say you are between Troops H and L and you can probably easily monitor Troops I and A. You MAY even be able to get Troop W. I keep all of the talkgroup IDs scanning so I get stuff like the helicopter as well as narcotic surveillances.

The Uniden software doesn't cost you anything. Just log on to the Uniden website and download it.
