The CSP has their frequency zones that start with 1A, 2A, 2B, etc., but I cannot find any way to equate these zone IDs with actual 800 Meg frequencies. Has anyone been able to do this? Is there a list anywhere?

I see ScanColorado has discontinued their CSP frequency list page with the advent (apparently) of the new 800 system.

Those items you listed are districts, not frequencies. Each one has talkgroups on the state 800 system, that are listed in the RR database.

Does that help you?

Sorry but is the freqs I am looking for under the "State of Colorado APCO-25 System"? If so, then there appears to be one or more freqs for basically each county since the map of the districts (found under State of Colorado APCO-25 System) is followed by a listing of the counties and each county has one or more control freqs. I hope I'm understanding--I don't want to known as too dumb.

Yes, those are the frequencies you need, but before you go any farther, do you have a scanner such as the PRO-96 or one of the 2 uniden digital scanners? If not, you need one of those to hear and follow anything on the state system

If you don't live near the metro areas, then the only site you could hear would be the one closest to your location. (A few areas are not covered yet--I think)
If you do live near a metro area, you have more choices to hear the system.
Don't feel stupid, if you spend hours looking around this board you will find what you need.

Most of the state West of the divide is not using any DTRS yet, so like they say depending on where you are your results will vary.

Sitting here in Summit County I have no local agencies on DTRS and only one control channel audible and that's Steamboat Springs and NO agencies are using that CC yet.

Keep your VHF scanners warmed up once your outside of the metro areas.

State 800 System in Grand Junction

I just returned from a trip to Grand Junction. The control channels at Grand Mesa and Whitewater were loud and clear in the city on a handheld, with Whitewater being slightly better.

The only CSP traffic I heard on 800 was coming in from Pueblo. I have no idea why they have those TG's patched over to the western slope.

The only actual western TG's that I heard were the ones for Montrose PD and Animal Control.

CSP in Grand Junction (4A) was still on VHF-High with dispatch from Montrose.

Otherwise, the 800 traffic I was hearing was very loud and clear. The audio seemed much better than the 3600 baud Moto P25 systems here in Southern California.
