Lately I've noticed that my CSX Selkirk frequencies have absolutely dropped off the map in terms of usage. Now all I'm getting is the usual D&H North End Dispatch and the occasional CSX NC dispatch. I'll crosscheck with a fellow railfanning friend of mine as well to see whats up. Any ideas?

I'm planning to go to with my friends to our usual spot for photography which is a junction right outside of the Selkirk yard so I'll try it there. I was thinking my antenna was bum but I can pick up my usual law enforcement/EMS/whatever else in the 150-450mhz spectrum just as easy as you please.

As I said before Selkirk was a veritable chatterbox over the airwaves and now its quite silent. Weird. =/

Apparently my dormitory is acting as some sort of Faraday cage and is being unkind to railroad frequencies because as soon as I stepped outside traffic started coming in. I'm going to try testing on another antenna and with my backup scanner. Maybe I'm just paranoid or I've forgotten how some of the signals don't quite make it from Selkirk to Troy.
