The database for the hp-1 is limited on the federal freqs to listen to. Does anyone have for manual input the best federal freqs to listen to in ct. Thanks

Best bet is to search as your reception may vary from someone elses

Most of the Federal channels are encrypted.

Bradley TSA is inactive at best.P25 VHF

Federal Bldg security is even more boring.

Inactive ?? When traveling thru CT, I regularly hear them.

I have a list of fed freqs that are active, semi active, and only active once or twice a year... I don't have my 396 with me right now, but will post the frequencies tomorrow. These include FBI, DEA, ICE, CBP air surveillance.

Here's my list of what I can pick up on my HP-1 with a RS-800 antenna from the Greater Hartford area
FBI : 167.5625, 167.5875 (Springfield), 167.6625. 167.7375, 168.2250, 168.8250 (New Haven), 168.8750,
170.5000 (Hartford), 170.6250, 170.9125, 170.9250,171.4250, 173.4750 (most active recently)

DEA : 414.4750, 415.6000, 416.1000, 418.6250 (Springfield), 418.6750, 418.7500. 418.8250 (Springfield),
419.4500 (Hartford)

ICE : 163.6500, 163.7000, 168.5875, 168.9250, 170.7750

CPB : 163.6250, 165.2375, 168.8375 (aerial surveillance), 171.0750

Interop (FedCom) 171.2250, 171.4000

IRS : 165.9500

AGAIN, all these are not active at all times... some are much more active than others, but this will get you started. Don't forget to search for the NAC too, that;ll confirm who is who.

I should also say, I only listen to LEO Feds, not TSA, or FPS etc.....
