I was up in CT the other day with my scanner but could no longer hear the CT State Police. Have they rebanded or changed their control channels on the 800Mhz Apco-25 trunked network?

I currently have
867.2000
868.9125
868.3375
868.2625
868.9625
set up as the primary control channels.

Thanks!

Some of those are current control channels, but it would help to know where in the state you were and what type of scanner.

Yup...that would be helpful...I should know better...I was traveling on I-95 from RI to New Haven then up through the center of the state to Hartford and then on I-395 north back to RI. My scanner is a BC396T.I have all the control freqs that I listed programed. I could pick them up in the band search mode but not when I was monitoring the control channels in Apco-25 trunked mode.

It's NOT a P25 system. It is a Motorola Type 2 system with P25 voice on some of the talkgroups. Are you sure you programmed it correctly?

You want Troop G, Troop I, Troop F, and Troop E. If you look under Connecticut state police in RR you will see the control channels listed by each of the above mentioned troops. That's my suggestion.

I am happy with the Pro-106

I have been very happy with the Pro-106 that I purchased last month. Its very easy to program the CSP using the Win 500 software. I pick up just about every troop from my central CT location with my 106. The CSP are very busy and there is alot to listen to. The 106 also does great using the RS 800 mhz antenna just sitting in the cupholder in my car on the road.

Im lookin at the GRE PSR600, Its going to be used in the office to monitor tow rotations for the state and local P.D's, so it doesnt have to be a portable. Can the two different systems be used sumultaneousl? The locals are on the high band and the state is digital( in case you didnt know, lol). Thanks for the input

I don't know anything about what GRE scanners can do, but the Unidens can scan both systems simultaneously.

Ok I bought a GRE PSR-600. Pretty nice radio. Not to hard to figure out but I'm new to digital trunking and would like to know about frequencies for Troop G. I put in all 5 but is that all I need to get the dispatch and car to car or do I need to add some more. I only need Troop G for now. Maybe I in the future but not right now. I have the right ID #s and I'm picking them up but I don't know if I'm missing anything. Thanks for the help

that should be it. u can put in all the frequencies or use control channel only. that should get all of Troop G for you.

I had the Connecticut State Police disappear from my HP-1 for several days this month. They suddenly reappeared Sunday. Maybe they were fiddling with something.....
