I have a Pro 197, but I don't have it set up for CT SP as it's my base scanner up here in MA. However, I did use ARC500 and the RR download to create a system so I could give you some information.
The system I set up uses ALL base stations in ROAM configuration.

Multi Site is set to "ROAM" and Check all CC is set to NO. T-Tables is set to "Custom". System Type is set to MOT 800/900.
Remember with trunking you need to have the frequencies and the talk groups set up for the system to trunk correctly.
Do you only want to listen to Troop E or do you want to listen to as many Troops as possible. If you set up for just the Troop E site and put in the Talk Groups for the other troops in the area, you'll hear a lot more. The way the CSP system works, more than one Troops' traffic is carried on each site.
If you only want to scan the Troop E trunk, then the control channel frequencies are 853.3375
852.6250. If you enter those with the T-Table data above, you'll hear the Troop E trunk fine.
My only other advice is to get one of the available software packages for programming the scanner. It makes things much easier.
Good luck.
