I have a BC796D i have CSP frequencies programmed in. I can here police if I go through the channels manually or on service search. But not if I am scanning. Is it the step or something else. Thank you Bob

1) Make sure that the scanner firmware has been updated so that it will work with rebanded 800 Mhz trunked systems.

2) Make sure you program the frequencies for trunking, not conventional use.

3) Make sure you enter the CSP Talk Groups.

If you don't know what a trunk system is or how to program the 796 for trunking, you should do some research on the RR Wiki. You can start here.

Here is specific frequency and talk group information for the CSP.

and be sure the band plan is programmed for a rebanded system.

I am trying to get scanner setup for rebanding of Ct State Police. But I am having trouble figuring it out. Does anyone have the update software and can possibly teach me how to program it. I live in the northwest corner of Ct. Thankyou Bob
