Curious about Minot Feed

I just saw on The Weather Channel that the temperatures in ND are going to be in the -30' F range this week.
I went to the audio feed page to see what was available to listen to.

My Question (No sarcasm or insult intended):
Would there be a specific reason that the Minot ND feed would have 118 listeners?!?

I realize there is an AFB there, but...the number of listeners surprised me.

Noaa Weather tower

Minot is a very active city for Police and Fire in 2011 it was the number one feed because of the flood we had lots of fires too and rescues that year. The best part was over 100 Federal agents from FBI, US Marshalls, DEA, ATF during the flood helping out the MPD. Minot is getting more crime thats one reason also.

This is why the Minot PD feed is busy with that many listeners. There was a shooting tonight and a manhunt for the gun man.

Minot typically runs a relatively high number of listeners compared to other feeds. On a quiet weekend 100 or so is not unusual. It's currently showing over 250, that is high even for Minot. But it is not a typical night.

Compared to the rest of the country, North Dakota is still quite safe in spite of the crime increase over the past couple of years.
