Ok so I'm looking into buying a handheld and stationary scanner, so I was wondering what some good ones, that won't break the bank, are. Thanks.

Depends. If you need digital the BCD996P2 and BCD325P2 are cost effective and have most Uniden features other than the ZIP Code scanning.
If you live in an area with simulcast then you are best off with the SDSD100 and SDS200 but they will destroy the bank accounts. If there is no simulcast in your area and you want the ZIP Code feature (great if you are travelling, not needed if you stay at home) then the BCD436HP and BCD536HP are less expensive than the SDS's but provide many of the same functions other than the color displays.
If your area is analog only and you have no need for digital then the BC125AT and BCT15X are good performers.
