I'm planning on doing some railfanning between Harriman and Kings Mountain this weekend and I just want to make sure I have the correct "new" channels since NS switched to regular simplex. I have 56 as the road channel and 59 as the dispatch channel on the CNOTP South. And I assume that the Northern half is using channels 27 and 57. Does this look right?

The Cincinnati desk which controls from Gest Street (well, north of there too) to Blanchet uses 056 for road and 009 for Ch 2. From Blanchet to Burnside is the Kentucky desk, which uses 027 for road and 057 for Ch. 2. I'm not entirely sure on the South end, I will have to double check.

If you venture that far north, the Louisville District, which I believe is under Southern East, uses 079 for road and 017 for Ch. 2.

CNO&TP South is 31 and 59 is channel 2.
I already had channel 31 in my radios so I didn't end up missing anything luckily! I caught 6 trains yesterday, including the 1068 Eire unit. I would have ended up getting 8 trains had the timing been better though!
