Currituck/Carova Fire ham

Hi North Carolina! I'll be visiting in Sept up in Carova on the 4X4 beach. Will have the 325P2 programmed with all the current database fire/ems for Currituck, Carova, Corolla. Will also have maritime and CG freqs too. Any other recommendations from locals?

Also finding sparse info on local ham repeaters, and am not sure I can hit the OBX system for Dare co. Will be on the air with my APRS digigate as well as portable too.

I was there in 2019. The Virginia Beach Orion system is easily received from there.

You can get the dare Co P25 system, all fire & ems. Plus, last time I was there Currituck fire/ems was still in the clear as well as lifeguards

There’s 146.835 the Columbia repeater covers most of the area all the way back to Rocky Mount. Plus the local OBX repeaters 145.110 nags head I think 146.940 is up your way. Use RepeaterBook.com

I will be there in 2 weeks. Between my Unication G4 (800mhz) and my 325p2 I can hear just about everything. I might bring the 125AT for just aircraft monitoring.

Probably one of my favorite place to vacation.
