Who ever is providing this feed, first, thank you. Second, can you check your settings, getting lots of traffic for out of area calls. Lots of activity lately, thought it was just the tourists, but addresses aren't coming up in map search and a couple of injury accidents didn't get dispatched on the sheriff feed.

Thanks again!!

If you would, submit a "Feed Problem" report so the feed owner will be notified directly.

Thanks!!

I presume Nash County is still using VHF to tone out its calls. To the best of my knowledge, there are still no pagers on the market that will monitor and receive tone alerts across a trunked system.

The key here is that the dispatches are going out over both 800 MHz trunking and conventional VHF ... the latter signal is simply being received by the Currituck receiver.

I don't put much time into tropo monitoring nowadays, but I used to hear Nash County on both their fire and ems dispatch channels fairly often in the morning hours. Nash County fire could also be heard sometimes via a fixed link on 452.150 / carrier squelch that Columbus Co, N.C. used for their communications with the Acme-Delco Fire Department.

The area here is prone to get signals from the Wilmington, NC area as well as some from Deleware and once from up in the Connecticut area, but I have been picking up some neighboring counties as well. Short of going with a directional antenna it'll be tough for the feed provider to filter out those signals from other agencies.

Before Dare went 800, we used to get a TON of radio skip from Pennsylvania, especially at night when there was a good inversion layer in the atmosphere.
