It appears to me that the LOCAL channels are simplex ops on the repeater output channels (with mobiles transmitting different NACs based on their location). Seems this is done so the Bozeman Office does not have to listen to Hebgen local traffic and vice versa. A scannerist could use the info to screen some traffic; but would lose the ability to hear the base station. If I am understanding the programming information correctly.
