It appears to me that the LOCAL channels are simplex ops on the repeater output channels (with mobiles transmitting different NACs based on their location). Seems this is done so the Bozeman Office does not have to listen to Hebgen local traffic and vice versa. A scannerist could use the info to screen some traffic; but would lose the ability to hear the base station. If I am understanding the programming information correctly.

The document has an error. The left column of frequencies is supposed to be labeled "Receive." I cross checked another document to verify this. The frequencies listed under the Billings Dispatch Center are those for the Custer portion of this 2 National Forest combination.

Another portion of the Custer NF is dispatched by the Miles City Dispatch Center. The frequencies are as follows:

RX TX Tone
Custer NF Simplex 170.4625 170.4625
Poker Jim 170.4625 164.9125 131.8
Home Creek 170.4625 164.9125 162.2
Stag Rock 170.4625 164.9125 136.5
Liscom 170.4625 164.9125 100.0
Tripoint 170.4625 164.9125 167.9
Tower Hill 170.4625 164.9125 156.7
Slim Buttes 170.4625 164.9125 146.2

In addition:

120.075 Bozeman Air to Air IA Primary
124.025 Bozeman Air to Air IA Secondary
134.375 Bozeman Air to Air IA Tertiary
167.7000 Bozeman Air to Ground IA Primary (AG 46)

Yes. Note that the Billings and Miles City Dispatch Centers, covering most of the original Custer National Forest, are not being operated in the digital mode so they have CTCSS tones on the transmit side only.
