Custom Notch Filters

From elsewhere here at RadioReference I found and purchased a nice notch filter to block out the FM radio band. What I need as much is a notch filterm for about 500Mhz to 520 Mhz for my near field radio to help lower the noise floor and pick up more real signals.
Anyone know where I could purchase such a filter, with BNC connectors? I'm not really talented enough to make one myself that I would want to be seen in public!

I think it is a TV signal. When I am using the radio for near field listening it will stop on a bunch of different freqs in that range and I have to lock them all out. I am not trying to listen to anything specific, just "looking" around you might say.

You are going to have a hard time blocking frequencies in the same frequency band as you are trying to search.

The band on the 83 is 406 to 512 Mhz so I should be able to use a notch filter to block out a few meg above 500 and still get good reception from 406 Mhz to at least close to 500 Mhz. Not to say there is anything in that range worth the cost of a filter
