I live in International Falls. With the BCD536HP, what would I heard on govt frequencies(customs, border patrol,etc)?

This has alot of listings for whats available. Govt stuff is hit and miss.

Border patrol has been encrypted every time it has come across my scanner.

Do a freq search between 162-174 MHz and that would find your local Federal Goverenment freqs. If you hear survallance ops do not post it right away when you hear it. Post it a day or two later.

Ours in Peoria,IL is on 165.2375 P25 but YMMV. Also look at other older posts on the Fed fourm and for this state also. HTH.

Thanks to all who responded go my thread. With the good input from the forum, I am curios enough to see what can be heard on a scanner. Guess i will buy the Bcd536hp and go from there. Thanks again...

We occasionally have Border Patrol called in for mutual aid in my area. I have programmed NDRADIONUT's frequencies into my HP. I programmed each frequency in twice, once with, CTCSS/DCS Search and once with NAC search in the Audio options. If I am correct and these frequencies are active, I should be able to pick something up.
