Cybertron computer upgrade

Thinking about upgrading my old computer Cybertron Desktop, it has a
AMD-A4-5300 APU with a radeon (tm) HD graphics 3.40 GHZ
And 8 GB of ram

I was thinking of upgrading to
AMD Athlon X4 880K with 125W Thermal Solution 4.0 4 Socket FM2+ AD880KXBJCSBX

And installing some new ram,
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000)

Would this make much of a difference in speed then what I have now, I don't want to buy a new computer if this upgrade is going to make a great difference.
any information would be helpful

The CPU upgrade will speed up number crunching, but if you're keeping an old mechanical hard drive, you'll find that the drive is slowing you down.

Before you upgrade you might want to look around on Ebay as to what is available. There tons of high-end PC's new, refurbished, and used for bargain prices.
