With the new CPU 1.4 for the GRE PSR-500/-600 and the "show Radio ID" option, I was wondering what the best way (other than a lot of listening time) to identify the most Radio IDs in the least amount of time.

Then I remembered that when I was in Terre Haute, THFD did daily radio checks at 7:30 AM local time every day. I was able to catch a lot of IDs using Unitrunker in very little time.

Was wondering if other agencies do the same thing.
Please post:
- Agency
- Time of regular test
- Trunked System or Frequency Used

Steve - feel free to turn this into a sticky.

Madison Co does but i never really thought about it so I never got the times. They do it with fire and EMA units

If I had to guess I'd say 17:00 for the fire and 19:00 on Tuesday I think for EMA. Maybe next time I'll think to get the times. They do it on conventional frequencies but it is simulcast on SAFET

Madison County fire 155.07 does a nightly radio test. Suppose to be at 4:00 PM but sometimes the dispatchers miss it "slightly".

Elwood Fire Department does a nightly radio test at 5:30 PM on 154.310 for Duck Creek and Pipe Creek Fire Departments.

EMA does a weekly radio test on 453.825. Radio test on Sunday night at 8:00 PM.

Amateur radio operators do a weekly radio test on 146.820 at 8:10 PM Sunday night.
