This is for anyone in Dale, Henry, or Houston that are currently monitoring or have knowledge of the status of the Metrolink NXDN (Metrolink NXDN Trunking System, Headland, Multi-State) (or Seminole Communications/SCI-2-WAY NXDN) system.

I am in Ozark and receive the Newton site 2/5 and Abbeville site 3/5. Other sites are a no-go. I've unlocked my BCD325P2's NXDN functionality. No control channel lock or reception whatsoever.

Does anybody have any further info on these sites?

I haven't been monitoring this system in a while. I can see 4 sites, 2 weak 2 strong this morning. I'll
rotate my antenna up that way today and see what I hear then. I was never sure what was going on
with this system, multiple towns and counties on one system, who knows. I'll log the 2 strong sites
for a while and see who is still using them.

Thank you! I have ProScan running the Newton, Abbeville, and Webb sites today. I'm too far away from that Donalsonville site. I'll see what I've got tonight or tomorrow!

Looks as if Houston County F & R are no longer using this system. Site 4 at Webb was no longer
needed to cover Henry County. This may or maynot be the case, just seems to be. Abbeville PD is
dispatched by Henry County I think, haven't listened enough to confirm that though. Sites 30-1, 2, 3
and 5 are up. Have a good day.

PS, the second site 3 is gone too, confusing!

Great, thank you for your help! I left ProScan up and received the Abbeville, Newton, and Webb sites all very clear from Ozark. Lots of Henry County and Headland activity received. Seems like I caught some private subscribers in there too.

Conventional 460.4000 / RAN 5 / NFM seems to be some flavor of Houston County. Unsure what yet.

460.4000 is one of Houston County's Frequencies. The license is WQYH356. You should be able to hear
some of them from your location. I seem to remember that they change control channels every 24 hours.
I don't listen much, just try to figure out what I am seeing. The format is for DSDPlus. No one has put it in
RR I don't think, I can't remember the format to do that, its been a while since I submitted anything. Curious,
what ham bands do you work? Got a guy about a half a mile away that blows my receiver away on 40 meters.
I am waiting for this sunspot cycle to peak, I enjoyed the skip during the last one.

Thanks for confirming and for the license. There's another little bunny hole to hop in and chase down when I've got some time! (One day I might have to take my scanner off the feed and bring it to work and let it scan and record all day.)

So far, I've only ever done 2m/70cm. At present, I mainly monitor digital on a 70cm hotspot.

My late grandfather had gotten his extra not long before he passed and had just started getting into HF before he passed. I've got the radios but haven't gotten around to studying for and upgrading my license class.

Haven't heard about hotspots before. Googled your call and saw the Brandmeister site. I am
not sure I understand ham over the internet thing. FT8 is something else too, no audio just info
on a computer screen, I think. Anyway I remember the Metrolink - Seminole
system now, it was a mess before and still is, each site has a license and they change every time the
politicians change their minds about something. I hope Dale and Henry have their F & R problems
fixed. Later....
