Now it appears that DARTA, has decided to implement a new multi-site 700 MHz digitally trunked radio system. They have petitioned the FCC to grant them a license to operate this new four-site network. This should be really interesting once it goes online.

Its DART, not DARTA LOL I know, your thinking TARTA (Toledo Area Rapid Transit).

The new system was supposed to be Open Sky, are they changing it now? I know a guy (HAM) who is a driver and he says they don't plan to mix Transit PD and LRT with the buses. the NEW buses coming next year have a much better radio compared to the buses used now (Many of the radio's don't work currently.)
