Dallas DPS Frequencies

Could someone in the Dallas area post what frequencies you use for DPS units. Have set up a zone on my Unication G5 for such, but not hearing much especially for the DNT, Bush and SRT. Would also like to receive requested motorist assistance along those roadways. Thanks in advance for any help.

Russell, thanks for your reply. I sent the original post and was hoping someone could list the frequencies they've had the best reception on in the North Dallas area. I think everything is programmed properly into my Unication G5 and Whistler TRX-1 but hear very little. I guess the majority are operating on county channels or are dispatched calls on in-car terminals.

The in-car terminals (MDT's) are the most likely. Once in a while, I'll hear DPS units on the tollways talking to DPS Dallas dispatch, but that's rare. When I hear DPS Dallas, it's usually for calls outside of Dallas County, often Kaufman or Hunt counties. DPS 101 (helicopter based in Mesquite) usually checks in with Dispatch when he's responding to a request for help from one of the loocal cities.

True, but they do have jurisdiction (by contract) on the major toll roads. I'll occasionally hear one of the units, almost always on the Bush Turnpike, rarely on the Dallas North Tollway. I know they respond to incidents there, as I hear DFR commenting on whether or not DPS is on the scene yet, but I'm not hearing any dispatch for wrecks in that corridor.
