You can hear the gateway squawk on Police so you know some sort of patch is in place but none with fire, which is why I asked. This also clears up why they sound so bad when they shouldn't.

Thanks for clearing this up.

“You know, I have no idea. I didn’t hear anything new yesterday. Nor did I hear the chirp at the beginning of each radio transmission like we’re supposed to when you press the PTT. Etc. but I’ll let you know if/when I find anything out”

Message I got from a DFR member on the radios

So far, no DPD field elements showing UIDs when they transmit.
A couple of days ago the one I wrote down was 7002288, B253 on NE, there are a few more I heard on SE but very few and far between, it sounds like if they are on the system they're using their mobile because when B253 arrived I then heard him on the analog side coming in scratchy, presumably on a handheld.

Is DFR full-time on the system now? Does that include locution? I will be in the city next week and not sure if I need to bring just my unication or that plus a UHF scanner.

About half the apparatus are on the new system. Locution is not. System is patched both ways.

That system is still up and running. However, I've only seen a few hundred hits on it over the past week or so. I suspect most of those are people being on the wrong, old channel.
...
So, is the below data, which contains what appears to be PD/Fire trunking info, not valid anymore, at this link?

From what I'm seeing so far, on my logs & recordings for the new system, is that DFR seems to be using Fire 1 (TGID 32001) as Fire Response, just as 453.875 was utilized, and Fire 2 (TGID 32002) as Rescue Response (453.900 on the Uhf system).

I'm seeing very few, scattered hits, on TGIDs 32003 & 32004, listed as EMS 1 & 2.

UIDs 700080x seem to be used by DFR dispatch consoles. 7000803 & 7000806 are regularly coming up on Dallas Fire 1 when it is "660" talking. 7000802 is coming on Fire 2, which for now is used for Rescues. I've seen 7000808 once,

I'm having a little success on identifying DFR field units (engines & rescues) UIDs.

I'm new to the layered systems. What do I need to program into my SdS200 to hear the new system?

Program in Dallas Layer 1 3-1 into your scanner to monitor dallas stuff.
Dallas Layer 2 3-2 is also carrying some traffic but for me the 3-1 has wider coverage.

signal strengths on layer 1 and layer 2 appear much stronger way down here in Waxahachie today.
maybe they cranked up the power? or conditions are better ?
