Before my lazy self programs my scanner, is there anything on the Dallas P25 / NCTCOG system worth listening to ? Is it very busy ?

Dallas P25 / NCTCOG - worth listening to ?

In the Dallas site of the NCTCOG system, you'll hear the DPS officers working the various NTTA tollways. There's another talkgroup, probably DPS, that pops up occasionally, but not often enough to identify usage. I mostly see it occasionally on the logs in ProScan. For a while last year, you would hear DPS on TGID 60029, when they were assisting Dallas PD in high crime areas, but that was on the Dallas Simulcast site, not the Dallas NCTCOG side.
On the Dallas Simulcast site, some city departments have made the move from the analog Local Government Moto Type II system. Dallas Water Utilities is using the site, as are Dallas City Marshalls & Parking Enforcement. Dallas PD is making some use, but no where near what is heard on their existing Uhf channels and on the Local Government system. Love Field Dispatch for DPD is on the Dallas Simulcast.
