During some recent activities, have heard Dane Co Shf Tac team members instructed to "go to the TRT channel." Along with this, heard, "we're too far out for the repeater" only to hear the reply "we'll have the portable repeater up." Didn't hear anything on any of the known frequencies, including Madison TRS system. Seems like this started the same time as their implementation of the "BearCat" armored tactical vehicle and their small mobile command post. Anyone know of what's being used for the new County TRT system?

Any chance that they recycled one of the older UHF frequencies? Nothing really new in the FCC ULS database.

No joy yet. Found several new state vhf freqs are getting ramped up and tested, including some extensive cross-patch capabilities, from the state's conventional public safety pool licenses, but nothing new for the county. Some of the older uhf freqs are no longer licensed, some converted to other uses, some just not used.
