In May, Dane County was granted a licence for a repeater on 155.250 with an input of 156.120. Call sign is WQGY572. The repeater is to be located on the community tower on Mineral Point Rd. It was licensed for law enforcement coordination. It only showed 25 mobiles, which seems low for a large county. Does anyone have any info on what this repeater will be for? I haven't heard a peep from it yet.

A little trick I discovered for FCC licenses that don't list a specific use is to Google the phone number(s) on the license. I did so and found that it looks like this will be used for Traffic Signal repair.
This seems to make sense with the number of units, and the choice of input freqs.
