Nice Shack--question re: Pro-83

Dan-

Very nice shack. I like the old Pro-34--you can't go wrong for a buck. It was my first direct-entry scanner, and I still have a soft spot for it.

I noted that you used the Pro-83 mostly for the Signal Stalker. In your opinion, does that function work fairly well? I was considering getting one.

Thanks,

73s to you and yours.

What is the little box with the gray front on the left shelf (directly under the MSP hat)?

Hello
It works pretty good, when I take it mobile I use an external antenna and it works well, I got mine on sale, if you want one I would wait till they go on sale again or maybe check ebay..This was covered in the Pro-83 fourm by lots of users, so you could also check that out for other opinions..

If I had this sort of setup, my wife would think I have lost my mind. Having a family and a crazy work schedule, I just dont have enough time to enjoy this hobby as much as I wish I could.

It's hard to find the time, but I manage a few hours a week..Luckly my wife is also into the radios, not quite as much as me but she likes to listen..
