Data cable woes w/ Win95

Well, I built the datacable for the PRO-95 and hooked it up. When I go to access the scanner through win95, the scanner will go into clone mode, but win95 comes back with a "Timed out while retrieving headers" (or something like that).

I am sure the cable is built right, as I went over it a couple of times.

Any help?

Have you checked any of the settings under the configuration tab for the serial port?

Well, I am sure you have checked it over carefully, but you cannot rely on the scanner reporting going into clone mode to say the cable is any good. You can plug an earphone in that jack and it will go into "Clone" mode. :?
