Hello:
I have a specific use for a software application that will allow me to program the Pro-2055's and Pro-163 with the same data. IE, I want the same channels assigned on all scanners. I do this for simplicity of operation.
Is this possible with Win97 or PSR 300/400. I really want to avoid data manipulation between models if possible. I need a fast way to program, backup and keep frequency listings current. Getting the frequency data and not having to type it in is important to me. Downloading in CSV and putting in a program is okay but I remember I got my first radio file already in Win97 format for my area. QUESTION - Does anyone know of a website that would have the data set already in the file for your specific software and location (Sacramento/Placer Co.)
My new Pro-163 has V1.0 firmware. I downloaded the latest from the RS site but if I execute it in Windows it opens a DOS box and closes. Maybe it's a DOS utility, any advice would be welcomed.
I would like opinions on a data download service. I have not done too much reprogramming on previous radios once set-up. I don't travel much and only need my area. Therefore, would you recommend a download service?
Thank in advance,
Kevin
