Dayton 2013 Rumors?

I haven't been active with amateur radio for a year or so now, but I am just wondering where is the best place to find any good ham radio equipment rumors for the upcoming Hamvention 2013? I sort of got soured when the Yaesu digital mobile and portable was announced as NOT compatible with APCO P25!

Yes, the Yaesu portable and mobile do NOT run the P25 Phase I protocol. The waveform is similar, but incompatible. There have been some discussions on this in the amateur radio digital group. Dayton has acres of tailgating vendors selling all kinds of stuff. You will certainly find many P25 radios there. You can get them on eBay, too.

Are you looking for anything specific? I haven't seen a ham radio product that's struck my fancy in maybe 20 years. It's kinda disappointing.

Heard that the Chinese will soon have a 440 thru 80 meter rig in the works for around $350. Not sure about any release date.
