I could've sworn I was reading about the new system somewhere here, but I'm not finding anything.

I was down there for the races last weekend. I didn't hear any sort of DMR.
So maybe the new system is only for the really big events? Anyone local know anything?
Daytona International Speedway Trunking System, Daytona Beach, Florida - Scanner Frequencies

I had all the licensed frequencies in the rotation.

464.400 469.500 DCS 423 is still used by Daytona race control for communicating with the ambulances and their crash crews. This was in addition to the CCS/ASRA race control.

451.900/456.9000 DCS 445 "no crossover post-race"
451.925 DCS 331 Security Office/cameras
451.9750/456.975 DCS 516 Inside Security
452.075/457.075 DCS 023 "Dispatch to Security Supervisor"
452.150/457.150 DCS 226 Ambulance secondary channel
457.4000 DCS 662 Security
452.625/457.6250 DCS 731 "Gate 40 to tunnel 1" (security and/or parking)
456.925 DCS 047 Parking?
452.800/457.800 DCS 245
464.775/469.775 DCS 423
452.100 DCS 245
464.900 DCS 115
452.300 CTCSS 94.8Hz
452.400 DCS 162

Non-Daytona radio usage that may show up elsewhere was 451.8125/456.8125 DCS 664 used by the production crew for Fanschoice.tv which filmed the AMA dirt track races and the Daytona 200.

I don't see any traffic on the control channel now but I definitely have in the past. Not sure if it operates year round or now but I've seen it operating outside of event times.
