I have noted this a couple of times now.

Frequency (in this case 154.945) which clearly is in the Db comes back with a warning that there is no exact match.

154.945 is not a valid frequency. It's either 154.9425 or 154.950.

Its currently licensed for many dozen users in California alone >> California Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

And regardless, the Db error "no exact match" is hardly correct when the frequency is very much in the Db and in use.

Your first post in this thread shows 154.945 which is not a valid frequency as GTR8000 pointed out.
Your link to the search in this reply is for a different frequency of 152.945 which is a valid frequency. Two different frequencies! One is invalid and the other is valid.

Thanks for the clarification and set me right. Yes, must have had a brain fart with the 154 vs 152 in post.

I can however confirm, I am picking up a new MotoTrbo user here in Southern California on 154.945 (just verified on two separate scanners) and was trying to see if it was in the Db.

There are no licenses active or pending anywhere in California on 154.945 in the ULS. Not surprising given it's not a valid frequency by FCC standards. Could be a misconfigured system, an image from another frequency, or the scanners not set to the correct stepping and you're really picking up 154.9425 or 154.950.

I have a similar question about a different system already in the DB. For the record, I don't think there is a DB error, just trying to understand something about how frequencies are used/licensed.

I am curious about the frequency, 454.35625, from this site:

I had initially thought it was in error. I configured my SDS100 to receive it in "conventional digital" mode and enabled recording. I didn't hear anything from it. My first thought was frequency might be in error.

So then I went to the FCC Database for that frequency:
(right now, I get an HTTP 500 Error), but in the past, it was tagged as an unknown frequency.

I had that frequency entered as part of a MotoTRBO site, and enabled LCN Finder, and it correctly identified it.

So... I search around the Forums, and I see kma371 has had to enable a special configuration in FMP to tune in this frequency:

...and there are other users that report usage as well.

So, how do I go about finding frequencies like this if they're not in the FCC database?

Many 454.x frequencies are covered under Part 22 Paging licenses. They are market specific, not site specific, and are licensed in blocks, not individual specific frequencies.

Thanks! I had found that page. I did a double check and verified that I couldn't find "454.35625" on that page. Since 454.35625 wasn't there, I didn't think it was a Part 22 frequency.

Any idea where to find an updated list?

You're not paying attention to the info on that page, or to what I wrote in my reply. The frequencies are licensed in blocks (ranges), rather than specific frequencies.

454.35625 is covered under the GN block, which has a lower frequency of 454.3375 and an upper frequency of 454.3625, with a center frequency of 454.3500. Any frequency within that range can be used, including 454.35625.

Thanks. When I saw the blocks, I saw they were on 12.5kHz channelization. The frequency we're talking about is on a 6.25kHz channelization.

Where do I go to find the channelization for these Part 22 licenses so that I can program the proper search ranges? The default 12.5kHz in the SDS100 is correct for most usage, but not in this case.

p.s. Thanks for MtnBiker2005 for finding the license. I looked all over the license data and couldn't find the channelization there either.
