Db units? (Not decibles ;])

When listening to LVMPD, I hear "DB" units, anybody know what these are? One was "One DB Fourteen" - That one was from COPs. Is this just another call sign or are they like special or something...

yea well ive heard it a few times now and im pretty sure they all said DB. could be though idk.

90% sure it's DP for directed patrol. Normal unit numbers indicate responsibility for a certain area. I think The units cops feature from tend to usually be a DP unit I'm guessing so they aren't responsible for a certain area and are more able to chase "hot" calls for the cameras.
