Also remember that this version of Motorola's TDMA support is actually at this moment a proprietary implementation of the Phase II "standard" - which hasn't been officially ratified yet.

Yes, and currently being called "x2" (until it becomes "Phase II" standard.)

Yes, scanners can be manufactured that would pickup TDMA signals. The problem would be if the 'channel' was encrypted or scrambled. The Feds take a dim view of anyone listening to an encrypted signal without the proper authorization. But, in general, if a modulation scheme can be received by the intended recipient then it can also be monitored by unintended recipients.

DUH!!!

For Feed #8 PSR-300 Capitol Police / US Park Police / Areawide Mutual Aid:

I don't know about Capitol Police, ResQguy since you work in DC can you advise what is good for them?

For U.S Park Police, the following are good:
166.925 PL 123.7 Dispatch
166.725 PL 123.7 Tac
167.075 PL 123.7 Tac

This should cover all of the Fire and LE Mutual Aid for the area:
39.540 CSQ SIRS
154.280 CSQ FMARS 1
154.295 CSQ FMARS 2
159.1500 $653 NAC DCIO-1
866.0125 PL 156.7 8CALL90
866.36250 PL 156.7 PMARS

Scanner appliance is sounding good, except the only issue was the DC Fire feed on NYE. I havn't listened again tonight but on NYE it was very squably, could barely make out what they were saying. Everything else sounded good though.

Also, what is up with feed #8? I thought it was suppose to be Park Police, instead it's ATC now?

The frequencies in the DB for USCP should be fine. Make sure they are set for narrowband please.

Since you don't receive private messages....could you create/open an audio feed in DC for the Right to Life March today

Federal Freq's are as follows;

US Capital Police

US Park Police (Also Patrol Parks/Memorials and Monuments as well as the four federal Parkways (Balt-Wash, Geo Wash, Clara Barton and Suitland)

166.72500 RM 127.3 PL Park PD 1/6 Tactical/Special Events FM Federal
166.92500 RM 127.3 PL Park PD 2/7 Dispatch/Operations FM Federal
167.07500 RM 127.3 PL Park PD 3/8 Tactical/Administration FM Federal
166.85000 M 127.3 PL Park PD 4 Tactical/Special Operations FM Federal

Also Fire and EMS TG's that would be used for Special events. Their Command Center is set up on 7th st SW at Jefferson aside of the Air and Space museum. There is also a White DCPolice Command Center parked behind it. Along with about 30 PP motorcycles with sidecars, and a bunch of PP horse vans for the mounted units. The media is all set up with their vans and antennas surround the general area of that section of the mall. Federal Protection Service is starting to surround the federal buildings making their presence known as well.

Thanks.

Never mind ... just read your openning thread again http://forums.radioreference.com/wa...programming-your-help-needed.html#post1208015

Thanks much!! I suppose I should have explained this channel is currently being used for extended EMS consults, that is why it is hogging the airtime.

Can I make a request for a modification of the PGFD channels?

It appears none of the north end frequencies are programmed, or received - is this a problem with location?

I would recommend removing EMS 7, but if you must keep it, can you also add EMS 2? The EMS chatter is annoying most of the time. It is mostly PT reports or requests for extra info from dispatch for minor EMS incidents.

Also, Channel 10 (and I guess 9 as well) never appears to come up. Channel 10 is what units in the north, near DC respond on for fire (as listed in the database). Channel 9 is far north, but they still get interesting incidents. They are labeled M/A, which makes them sound like patches, but they are used regularly. At the time of writing this, there is an apartment fire, but I am unable to hear anything past the initial dispatch.

Thanks

A little scary how fast that was.

The northeast could be explained, but could that explain the northwest by the DC border? I wouldn't be surprised based on what is regurally picked up.
