(Just posted this to Scan-DC...)
I have another question about DC Fire/EMS, specifically about how the EMS side uses talkgroups. As I understand it, all dispatches (both Fire and EMS) go out on TG 1616. If it's a routine Fire-only incident, TG 1632 is used. If it's an EMS-only incident, the medics seem to switch to TG 1904, 1920, or 1936.
How is it determined which TG the medic uses? I thought at one time I saw something about East/West, but I'm not sure if that was accurate.
Thanks,
Dave
