According to the template noted in the DC trunk system database, DC fire/ems has these 'channels' in their radios:

"04-VRS1"
"08-VRS2"
"A4-VRS1"
"A8-VRS2"
"B14 P-VRS"
"C7 FIRE-MPD"
"C8 EMS-MPD"
"G13 T-VRS1"

I have searched and cannot seem to find what these talkgroup numbers are that are asociated with these 'channels', or if they are simplex freqs, as well as what their purpose is. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Kel

Thanks. Does "VRS" stand for Vehicle Repeater System then, or something similar? Do you know what talkgroups and/or frequencies are used, or selectable, for these mobile repeaters?

Also, do you know if "C7 FIRE-MPD" and "C8 EMS-MPD" are talkgroups on the trunk system, or are they simplex frequencies?

That is what it stands for. They are tied to the TG they immediately follow. C7 & C8 are rarely used TGs, I wouldn't worry about hearing anything on them.

Great! That was what I was trying to understand.

Though the "C7 FIRE-MPD" and "C8 EMS-MPD" channels are not used frequenctly, I am guessing that these are fire>pd and emd>pd interop talkgroups?
