DC freqs

I am visiting Dc and took the Uniden 396 with me in the car today. I pick up Montgomery county clearly . The scanner is deaf in DC with an occasional data .I have the frqs of 868.6875 868.8625 868.8875 868.9375 entered. I do an Id search and recieve nothing. If any body has any suggestions please pass them on. This Uniden is new to me but I have no problem with the Apcc0 systems @ home or other counties out here.

Misread you. Lots of buildings in the way is my guess. I've never tried to listen to Mont. Co while in DC.

Thanks for the input. I might not have been very clear.The feqs I posted are the one from the Radio Reference Data base for DC Public Safety in the 800 range that I have entered in the scanner. Are these wrong?

Those are the Montgomery Co freqs you posted. So if what you are trying is DC, then what I originally posted is what you should do.

For DC Fire/EMS the control channels are 852.61250, 852.63750, 852.66250, 852.68750
Set the trunking for a Motorola Type 2/APCO 800Mhz and set the 'control channel only' option to Plan 1.

The main talkgroups to program would be:

1632 Zero 2 Main
1648 Zero 3 Fireground 3
1680 Zero 5 Fireground 5
1696 Zero 6 Fireground 1A
1712 Zero 7 Fireground 7
