PSR-500: DC jack on back of GRE/RS/Whistler Scanners

Scanner had a shunt and fell of a chair.

DC jack on PCB was damaged

Anybody know of a source or 3rd party for these ?

Whistler says they do not sell/stock internal parts for these

If your any good at soldering, you can buy almost any type of jack and install it. It may not be an exact repair, but will function just fine. Be sure to observe polarity. In a pinch, you could bring a pair of wires out through the case and connect to the adapter wires. Depends on how bad you need to listen to your scanner.
