Just curious if anyone knows if the Car adapter for the bcd996xt will also work on the BCD396xt. ?

You can go to the Uniden web site, click on parts and then look for the Car adapter for the Uniden 996T.This should also list the other models it will work on as well.You can also call Uniden parts and you can ask them.They will be glad to help you.

It will not the 996T adapter is just a plug adapter (supplies unconverted automotive voltage). 396 needs a voltage converter (and the plug size is not the same).

Thank you guys guess I should have ordered it with the scanner...oh well something for next month...
I was a bad boy and ordered the bcd396xt, so now i'll have a home and road show... Here come another learning curve... at least it's not to bad having the 996xt... just have to figure out the buttons...
