DC TRS help in WIKI

I saw an example of how to program the DC police system in a Wiki but cant find it again. Anyone know where it is?

In my 996T I have the FD as one system and PD as one system. I hear things on FD, but not on PD.

Does anyone have a BUTEL file (.mem or .m96) for the DC Police trs system?
If so, I will PM you my email address.

Actually - the ARC996 software has the bandplan on a "Bandplan" tab.
So the screenshot would be different.

Either way, if someone has an ARC 396 or 996 file for DC POLICE that works - I could use it.

lemish go to the BCD396 Yahoo group - I know there's a .mem file for the DC area in their files area. You will have to fix it up a little, as it's a bit dated - it doesn't, I think, have the 2nd offset but it will be more than good enough to get you started. 73s Mike

Dewey, thats how I set mine up. Can I send you my .m96 file and see if you think its good. I am not hearing anything here on the DC 400 PD system, but can hear stuff on the DC 800 FD system.

I used to be able to hear conventional DC channels on 460 here at my house - I know I am on the fringe area, but if I can receive the 800 system, i would think I could hear the 400 system - right?

No problem... feel free to PM your addy if you want. Concerning signal strength, they are night and day. While I've heard people north of the city say they can hear DC PD on the 396 at a reasonable distance (one person claimed to hear it from Gaithersburg), it's not that way to the south. Going south on MD Rte 210, on the 396 you start losing DC PD around Fort Washington (~ 5-7 miles south of the beltway), yet DC FD continues to come in all the way down to Charles Co (~ 12-14 miles south of the beltway). These figures apply to the 396 only as I and others here feel that it is not as sensitive as it could be. The 996 and the GREs will receive DC PD all the way down to Charles Co on MD Rte 210.
