I am having trouble receiving both wash dc fire and police
even though I down loaded all frequences to one channel. I can get police fine but fire /rescue will not transmit?I understand there may be a another way of doing this.
Thanks for help!

First question what scanner are you using, and what software (if any) to program it? 73s Mike

'down loaded all frequences to one channel'? What does that mean?
'fire /rescue will not transmit' - Do you mean that you are not receiving fire/rescue?

You should be able to just put the control channels (those in red and blue) from the database into the 96. You would need both the 460 and 850 mhz freqs, of course. 73s Mike

All Washington DC Police, Fire and EMS operations operate on this dual-band 460/800 MHz APCO-25 Trunking System=this is what i am trying to do.

Do you have both the 460 and 850 mhz frequencies in bank 1? All you need are the control channels (colored red and blue) for both ranges, seperated by a single conventional frequency (like, say 150 mhz). Something like this:

460.02500
460.10000
460.15000
460.20000

150.00000

852.61250
852.63750
852.66250
852.68750

If you are only hearing the police it sounds like the 800 mhz freqs are either missing or programmed wrong. I don't have a PRO-96 but this is the most common cause of this problem that's been reported here over and over again.

Mike as always, you're a GREAT help, but unfortunately, this will not work for the 96. Each system will have to placed in seperate banks due to the different mappings. Tenley, place DCFD in one bank as a normal Type II Moto system. Then place DCPD in another bank observing the custom mapping table (DCPD uses two custom map settings).

Hmm, learn something new every day. I suppose it's because one system is UHF, the other 800. If both were on 800, that trick would work?

Since we're on the subject of map settings, see the very bottom of this article. It shows where in Win96 you need to add the 2 base/offsets for the DC system.

Dude, your question was answered above. Program each system into it's own bank, not every system into one bank... See Dewey's post above.

Don't know if your still having problems but I did do this for you by using the demo of Win96. I make no guarantees
