Hey friends,

Just wondering of the DEA and ATF frequencies work in Michigan. I see P25 is required. I have a Uniden BC796D, so that won't be an issue, but I don't want to take the time to load all the freqs in if there's no talking.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

YMMV as to Encryption. Seems to vary by Field Office.

Best to actually SEARCH the band, then add the Active channels that you can hear. Search

400-420 for the DEA
162-174 for the ATF

maybe in the smaller field offices but everything in the large metro areas is encrypted. They dont even use the radio much anymore as cell phones are more convenient

DEA

I have never heard DEA use P25 in the Detroit area. I haven't even heard them on analog in years in Detroit.

They have popped up with some talk groups in the 11000 range on the MPSCS system and they have been in the clear. Once I know for sure I'll submit them. ATF has a few already posted on the MPSCS system.
