When I turn it on:
Device=Welcome to Dual Tunking
Push the Search Button
Stop At Police/Fire
States that All Channels are locked out.

So my question is:
What must I do to allow me to listen to ALL 6 Districts of the Denver Police Departments?

Hi Suni,

For your Pro-95 are you using Don Starr's WIN95 programming software to enter your info.? If so, just go back thru and uncheck the lockout boxes for the frequencies that are entered.

We just went through this with you in the Radio Shack forum. You don't have a Pro-25, you have a Pro 95. Please try to remember what model of scanner you have since you're confusing everyone when you keep posting the wrong model.

Second, try to at least read though the manual. From Page 82:

Problem: The scanner is
on but will not
scan.

Solution: Only one channel or
no channels are stored. Store frequencies into
more than one
channel.

You've got to have at least two frequencies stored in channels in a bank or you get the "All Channels Locked Out" message. You need to enter the Denver EDACS frequencies from the RR database along with the talkgroups you want to listen to in order to trunk track Denver PD. The search function won't do this. As you have been previously advised, get a computer cable and Win95. You can then load one of the many Denver P95 files from the Yahoo groups which you were also pointed to. These will have the Denver PD frequencies and you'll also be able to see how they are set up in Win 95.

Suni / Are you sure it's a Pro 25? Just about time for bed, but I'll be back on tomorrow.

Jerry:
I beleive so :?
I posted all of the pertinent information (In the Radio Shack Scanners Forum ~ Under CanUHearMe) and that was the response that I received. (Pro 25)

Why would you ask that question :?:
Was it something that I posted :?

No not at this time ~ Being that recently I've had some misfortunes and the Money Situation will not allow the $32.00 or so.
So I have Don Starr's WIN95 programming software installed but not able to program the Scanner with it.
So I have to do it Manually.
But as my Signature states ~ I'm Dealing With What's Left Over :)

I will revise my former post
Finances will not allow me to purchase a computer cable at this time but I do have the Win95 downloaded.

Suni / Don't let people like SAR2401 discourage you from asking questions. These new scanners are even hard for me to program, and I've been in the hobby over 20 years.

It was not my intention to stop her from asking questions. She had already asked similar questions in the Radio Shack forum and had gotten answers. I'm certainly sorry that she's had problems in her life recently but that has nothing to do with programming a scanner. Maybe one of you nice guys in the Denver area could meet up with her and get her Pro 95 programmed so she doesn't have to go through the whole drill of trying to program it by hand.

Thank you SAR2401:

But I disagree being that I purchased the Scanner to be able to hear the DPD Dispatch regarding related issues and if the Scanner is not programmed how can hear Dispatch? :?

But I will try in the Colorado Forum Section~ Thanks Again

Unfortunately, the Pro-95 doesn't come preprogrammed with trunk systems like the Pro-96. The Radio Shack store that you bought it from should offer free programming of your local systems, including Denver, so the first thing you might do is take it back to Radio Shack and ask them to program it for you.

I was quite serious about hoping that a nice person in the Denver area would get together with you and program your scanner and go over the basics of scanner operation with you. I've done this with two folks in the Bay Area and made two good friends as a result.

Just to keep things in perspective, my wife died of leukemia in November, my mom died from a stroke in December, and my father is presently dying from prostate cancer. I bring this up only because I know about loss, believe me. Even though what you had happen to you was bad, things could be much worse. Keep that in mind and be thankful for what you haven't lost.

Actually Jim I sent her 2 emails using the RR mailing system offering her help and have not received a reply to either one of them. In the last email I offered to meet with her AND her husband at a public place like a fast food restaurant to clone my Pro-95 with her's. The idea of meeting with her in a public place and having her husband with her was all intended with her safety in mind, since meeting with someone you met over the internet isn't always the best idea. So anyway, the offer was made but she never responded.

Todd / I have also corresponded with Suni off the RR website. We are supposed to try to set up her 95 over the phone today. Your offer was extremely nice too.

Jim / My sincere condolences to you for your losses. I have lost both parents, and a nephew.

Suni/ ~That is exactly what my Signature states~
It's not what U lose in life that makes a difference. It is what U do with what is left over.

My ol Man's Sister is in the Hospital right now and we do not know how much longer she has.:(

And Forgive me going on about my Cars.
Material things are replaceable(Cars)
God Bless
~And again thank you for all your help~

Todd:
I did not know that you were going to get with me regarding this today!

If you will pm ~ With the time (Only if you feel up to it) I will make sure that I am available

Todd and Jerry,

That's great. I knew ther were nice people in Colorado. :) These guys should be able to help you get up and running so take advantage of their knowledge.

Thanks for the condolences and condolences to all of you as well. We've all lost people close to us and, comparatively, cars being wrecked or stolen, or scanner problems, are just blips on the radar screen of life.
