Planning a possible railfan trip in central Illinois focusing on the Decatur & Eastern Illinois (DREI) and its upcoming acquisition of the Eastern Illinois Railroad.
FCC records show the following licensed frequencies under callsign WRCK797 for FMN and NXDN emission designators.
At Paris, IL: 151.6700, 159.8250, 160.1250, and 160.2000
At Decatur, IL: 153.050, 153.1850, 153.4400, and 158.2800
At Tuscola, IL: 151.7300, 153.1250, 153.6350, and 158.4150
At Metcalf, IL: 153.2750, 153.5825, 160.1175, and 160.2000
Has anyone confirmed the above are indeed in use by the DREI? Which mode, NXDN or FMN?
Are they utilizing other “standard” AAR channels, held over from the CSX days ?
Eastern Illinois Railroad is licensed for 160.8150 and 160.9500.
Thanks in advance
