So sorry for scanner enthusiasts in Decatur. Bunch of Balderdash to me.

Too bad. My brother and I drove all the way from Chi-RAQ area down to Decatur IL last August for the BEARS NFL 100 year rally. Listened to my G5 pager all the way there and back on Starcom21 Statewide system. As usual ... CRIMINALS ruin everything.
And citizens keep getting killed!

This really should not surprise any of up. I mean when the riots started after Mr. Floyds death, numerous agencies went encrypted for a short time till things calmed down. It is only a matter of time before every agency goes encrypted permanently.

Your exactly right. I grew up in Illinois and left in 1994 when I joined the military with plans of eventually going back there but the way things have been going the last 10 years and continue to go, I will not go back, ever.
Looks like the Macon Co Sheriff's have also encrypted all their talkgroups...
