Their mic etiquette kinda sucks, but all the traffic is TDMA...

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an expert on the 436 (because I don't have one), so maybe someone can point out what I'm missing, but it looks to me like the radio display in that video is indicating trunked analog transmissions in NFM mode. Is that because it's in replay mode? Does replay mode not correctly indicate P25 transmissions on playback?

Correct. The 'resting' mode of the 436 & 536 when scanning a P25 system has the screen show 'NFM'. When it stops on voice in Phase-I mode, it shows 'P25'. When Phase-II, it shows either 'PT0' or 'PT1', based on the active timeslot.
